What is an energy audit?

An energy audit assesses how much energy your home is currently using and looks specifically at where, when, how and why that energy is being used. An energy efficiency audit provides important information about how you can reduce your energy costs and carbon footprint.

Common improvements include:

  • Windows and doors
  • Insulation in your attic, basement, interior and exterior walls
  • HVAC systems including your furnace, boiler, or water heater
  • Air sealing windows, doors, skylights, pot lights, fixtures, etc.

From insulation rebates to rebates for new windows and doors, an energy audit will verify how effective your energy-efficient projects will be, so you can make smart decisions that will pay off about how and where to invest in upgrading your home.

Work with a Certified Energy Auditor

To qualify for these rebates homeowners must have a Certified Energy Auditor who is endorsed by National Resources Canada – NRCan complete the in-home energy assessments.

As part of the home efficiency process, we work closely with our trusted partner who will conduct a pre-reno energy audit and layout all the possible improvements in your home.  As experienced contractors, we’ll help you decide which home renovation projects are most important, affordable, and easily improved so you can qualify for the largest rebate possible.
